Mr Mayo

Inspired by jazz fusion icons such as Allan Holdsworth, Marcus Miller, Herbie Hancock, and many others, Gratuitous Mr. Mayo stretches their music just a little beyond comprehension.  With their wide array of musical influence spanning over countless genres to include Jazz, Rock, R&B, Gospel and even Hip Hop, their live sound will leave you on the edge of your seat, wondering what may happen next.  From sheering guitar solos to tight unison hits, to delicate melodic moments, Mr. Mayo captures the true essence of what it means to make music together as a band and leave the audience craving more.  

Although Mr. Mayo is a very new band, formed in November of 2023, they already have 5 performances under their belt and have caught the attention of many fusion lovers all over Nashville as well as respected musicians from all over the country.  Their latest performance at The Basement featured a guest performance by drum giant Andy Prado, a regular in the house band at the legendary LA venue, the Baked Potato.

Mr. Mayo plans to release an EP in the fall of 2024, and to continue showcasing their sound all over Nashville and beyond.
